Nothing you will be told on here will be unique. The very meaning of the word unique will make themes ununique if someone else gives you the idea. A truly unique theme is one thought of by you and you alone.

circus for boys get a big stuffed animal giraffe or elephant to put in the room, make his crib look like a circus tent, and just decorate the room with circus themed things.
for the girl either like a fairy princess theme with sparkly items and little fairies hanging above the crib, princess like furniture, and other decorations that go along with that theme or like a garden theme, put a small little white fence around the toy bin, put butterflies and other cute critters around the room to decorate, use garden themed decorations, make sure to have pink , yellow ,and other bright colors of the sort in the room.
there are lots of websites that have a lot of great ideas for things like that, try to find some.

good luck!!

use favorite classic books-u can paint the cover of the book and add a few of the lines from the story. U can paint some books your parents used to read to u as a child and their parents read to them--make it like a tradition passed down, then u will add your child's favorite books--have fun
