Why does the UK remain tolerant to Islam even though it finds itself the #1 target for Islamic terrorists?

its not tolerance, its a tactic for keeping an eye on everything.

(and with the exception of the London bombings, most the terrorist plots involve planes leaving the UK)

Because England is benefiting from those countries which it was colonizing like Saudi and Gulf states. England has population in many Islamic countries and they are tolerant with them, so why you think UK should not be tolerant with them. It is political terrorism using Islam Ideology. I am not Muslim but westerner look to people from Middle-east as Muslims.

The appeasement of the Nazis was once described as feeding everybody else to an alligator hoping it would eat you last,I believe it was Churchill who said that but not positive. There are many on the left who have given Islam a lot of wiggle room even when they have Islamic leaders calling for violence within their own countries,it would seem that they believe that if they make nice with the Muslims that suddenly Muslims will decide to be peaceful with them in turn. There is of course no evidence for this but that does not stop the appeasement,but treating them with kids gloves when they are in your face threatening violence is a mistake,if an alligator is charging at you with its jaws open you should assume it wants to eat you. If we didn't learn this dealing with the Nazis then we deserve what we get,and if the UK doesn't realize the mistake they're making then they also get what they deserve.
