My nephew is on Suboxone - He seems to be doing pretty well on them. I'm understand that there are no withdrawal symptoms. He has not complained one bit so Suboxone must be blocking any discomfort one might feel. You'll probably do well if you find a doc who does this. If you need further help I'll point you in the right direction, email me.

My daughter is 10 and has always been homescholed. She showed, what I thought, an early readiness for lessons. When she was 4 1/2 I ordered the curriculum from Calvert. Although I believe their program is excellent it was too soon for my daughter. I gave the Calvert materials away and waited about a year. This time we went with the Well Trained Mind approach. I highly recommend their history activity book from The Story of the World: History for the Clasical Child. It is an excellent introduction to history for young children. Each chapter has history reading lists and corresponding literature suggestions, map work, coloring pages, art, craft and cooking projects that correspond to the time period being studied. Although we enjoyed the story book we did find some errors. This may have been remedied in the revised edition. For math we used Right Start Math. It was an excellent choice for my daughter. It uses the AL Abacus to provide a visual, auditory, and kinesthetic experience. The elementary and intermediate program lessons guide the teacher day-by-day and year-by-year. She has no problem doing math in her head like knowing exactly how much change is owed to her at check-out when she purchases something. During the time that we used the Well Trained Mind method we spent about four hours a day on lessons. We usually started around 9:00 and finished around 2:00. This time included breaks and lunch. We never required any type of study time after these hours (i.e. homework). Over time we have settled into an eclectic/unschooling rythym. We read out loud to each other every day and discuss what we're reading. We just finished Call of the Wild and are starting The Secret Life of Bees. She loves reading American Girl and Goosdbumps. We spend about 10 to 15 minutes on math twice a week. Art is one of her passions so we are working on the Meet The Masters online art program. We do science projects when the mood strikes us. We're much more relaxed now but she is progressing just as rapidly as when we used the Classical Method. Looking back, I wish I had waited even longer to start on the formal lessons but she is doing wonderfully all the same. Don't be afraid to change things up when something just doesn't feel right. Above all, relax and enjoy this adventure that you're setting out on together!

I've been taking Suboxone for about 6 months now and doing great! If used properly and with a qualified addictions doctor, you can change your life for the better. I'm not oversedated or falling off a toilet. You are addicted to suboxone, but you can come off of it slowly and a lot easier than the more powerful opiates. It's allowed me to continue to work while I treat this problem and maintain confidentiality as well. Go to suboxone.com for info or email me directly, I'd be happy to give you more info.

My sister is on Suboxone to get off Vicodin but i think she is now addicted to the Suboxone????????????? Sometimes she will fall asleep anywhere, several times she fell off the toilet, fell asleep standing up??????? I don't know WTF is up??????????? But she is definitely not in any pain...............she told me that if you ever did Suboxone you would NEVER want to do any opiates again????????? I think ....well, i KNOW she is overtaking them.........just another addiction for another addiction if you ask me??????????? But i think if you did the program RIGHT then it could work for you but you don't want to just get all F>>>>>>>>>> up again???? And you definitely DO NOT WANT to go through withdrawls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck! I've tried to talk to my sister but to no avail?????????????????????
