I've heard so much about Slim Fast, but never tried it because it seems that it has a lot of calories.

I have used Slim Fast. Yes it works, Only if you use it for meal replacements instead of drinking it and still eating big meals.
I drinked slimfast for breakfast or lunch, sometimes both, then ate dinner.
You get all the vitamins and minerals you need from a meal in a can of Slimfast.
If you stick with it a while, You'll start not even getting so hungry.

Like everyone else said, it works if you replace it with a meal. Now they have bars and shakes and even snacks. However, they are all super sweet, and after about a week you get sick of the sugar in them and you want something salty or savory, which they have none of, so you can't really stay on it. It is just a low calorie diet. Even though each shake/bar has a lot of calories (300ish), if that is all you eat it is not very many. However, you would be better to eat fruits and veggies, low fat proteins and complex carbs equaling the same caloric intake because you can do it longer and be healthier

The idea behind slim fast is replace a whole meal with a shake. You could replace a meal with a cup of sugar and still probably lose weight, but it will never work, you will be constantly be battling hunger. Instead try eating whole foods all day as much as you want all day long, not processed foods, whole foods, drink plenty of water, no soda or alcohol, and raise your heart rate for 30 minutes a day 3 times per week, and you wont need slim fast.

Interesting comments. I'm doing Slim Fast right now and LOVE the program. I have no hunger and actually feel much better now. I have a small dinner of any food. I feel in total control of my nutrition. So far the pounds are melting off. It is not for everyone but it is great for me..

it does have a lot of calories
if u go on a slim fast diet u have to use those calories as a boost of energy and work out more. i've known people who have done it. you only can expect to loose a little chub, not an immense amount of weight

Only if you use it the right way. My freshman year in college, my roomate gained 25 pounds from drinking the slim fast *with* her meals, not *instead of* them.

Most diets work (initially). Most diets fail because you don't stay on the diet forever and go back to your old eating habits. Also note most diet programs include an exercise component.

It only works if, like anything else, it means that you are burning more calories than you take in!
