I think unique names are awesome and obviously drums are important to you and it shows that your children are too. sure i would tell them later in life why they have the names they have.

They should be told as soon as they are old enough to understand.
My daughter has known that she was named after her great-grandfather& great -uncle for her whole life.

No...don't tell them unless they ask.It's not bad.We named our son koa after the tree/Every childs name has a special meaning,so if drums are specail to you more power to ya.
