I don't know. I have not really looked at Islam. It is possible that Islam may be close, or even more that the R.C.c. If my history is right, the number murdered by the Catholic church is about 50 million (recorded). War-time deaths are not counted. For Islam I'm not sure, but it is well into the millions.

The Catholic Church declared war on Islam during The Crusades. Clearly, Christianity was the aggressor then.

However, with the Taliban, Iran and other extremist groups killing and maiming their women and glorifying suicide bombers, it may be hard to say.

The Catholic Church has more blood on its hands than Islam does. In fact, it is because they spilled the blood of Muslims in the Medieval Era that forms a part of the reason why many Muslims are angry at the West. Plus, stealing their land (Israel) wouldn't make them very happy...
