How come some Men are gross in public?

Question

Sometimes I'll be running errands and walking across the parking lot when from the other direction a guy walks towards you and not sure if they know subconciously that they are doing it, but they grab their package to shift around inside their underwear. Or earlier today, I was shoe shopping and this guy stood not too far away from me, ripped a loud, long, smelly fart in front of a lady and drifted away like nothing happened!! Why do some guys do this? If you guys are doing this to be cool or to get ladies attention, you're wrong!!

Remember that I was only making an "analogy" of men who fixes themselves in public. There was a guy who farted while I was trying on some shoes which totally grossed me out. He was also browsing for shoes too.

The shifting and moving of certain parts of the anatomy is one of those things that men try not to do in public, but sometimes you must do what you have to do. Most of us try to make the adjustment in a way that avoids drawing attention to the task. Sometimes there simply is no way other than the quick adjustment.

There are some situations where adjustments have to be made in public. Consider the baseball player wearing an athletic protective cup. Since certain parts of the male anatomy change size in relationship to the temperature changes, the cup shifts and can become quite uncomfortable if not painful. In these situations, the lift and shift is perfectly understandable. Having spent most of my life on a baseball field, and most of that as an umpire, I have had women ask me to please adjust in a more private area. When an umpire working behind the plate on a baseball fields needs to make an adjustment, where do they expect the umpire to go that is private? At least half of the fans can see into each dug out, and there are no magic booths that allow for complete privacy.

While passing gas is natural, letting one rip in a public setting is considered rude in American culture. In other cultures, the passing of gas is considered as normal as breathing. Personally, I find hearing or smelling farts, while in public, offensive. Why people think it is funny and laugh loudly puzzles me. The laughter only draws more attention to the deed. Naturally, everyone passes gas in public no matter how hard they try to avoid it. Some people claim that “holding” the gas is medically dangerous. I cannot see where the danger exists in holding one in long enough to move away from the crowd. We all pass gas, but we can avoid making those around us uncomfortable.

Watch women today, they do some gross stuff also. It is becoming more common today because people are drifting away from morels. Years ago you would never see such behavior. Men that do that sort of thing get off on you looking at the bulge in their pants, if they could they would pull it out.

My husband has been in the construction field for 37+ years and many times has taken the whole work crew out to lunch. Union construction workers are the back bone of of everything that is built in this country including the restaurant that she was a greeter in. Not all jobs are clean and sweet smelling.

I think it is because either their parents never bothered to teach them manners, or they think they are above using manners. Other men may see that kind of behavior as an indication of manhood(albeit an erroneus one).
Another possibility here is that some offenders may be under the influence at the time they are acting that way, with their lowered inhibitions leading them to do things they would never dream of while sober.

I see ladies regularly adjust their bras and most women have mastered the art of the silent fart or they hold them in all day (and believe me, you can tell by the look on someones face if they need to pass gas and haven't all day!). Some men just want to be comfortable and don't have as many hangups about proper public behavior.

You try having a penis to deal with! It's not comfortable... Sometimes I wish I didn't have one because they are so embarrasing!!! Sometimes I do it and don't realize that I'm adjusting myself in public, and then I get embarrased.... Sometimes, I realize I'm in public, so I walk around all day very uncomfortably, or go someplace where I'm not in public view and adjust it there....

As for farting... That's gross, I hold those in.

Ok... with the grabbing our 'package'... Don't you ladies ever have to shift your breast in your bra? Same thing... We have to adjust ourselves... Now for the passing of gas... Some are less polite about it... They just let it out and run before someone can say something...

Girls do gross things in public too, like talking incessently on cell phones and applying too much makeup. And guess what? Girls fart, too.

Sometimes guy's "packages" get mixed up in their undies, and they just have to rearrange them.

Women do the same thing sometimes kiddo. If you've never had a "package" to shift, don't make anything out of it than what it is. Sometimes the package is very out of place and needs to be adjusted. Very simple answer. I've seen large breasted women do the same to their breast too. I've seen very attractive women pull their panties out of the crack of their behind also. This little act makes them not so attractive after too.

It's not just men, some women are like that. I don't think touching your privates in public is ok but you can't control farts.
