It really does suck, but the truth is that all women ham it up in order to get what they want or to be able to act bitchy and get away with it. Don't let any woman tell you otherwise because if she does, she's on her period and she's lying.

Ted, Ted, Ted-
This is a common complaint amongst most women. The monthly period can be very taxing and tiring. I know women who end up in bed because of this. Some others just move along just fine. Everyone is different.
When I was in grade school and high school we were told that we couldn't use cramps as an excuse to get out of P.E. So, most of us sucked it up and went on.
PMS is a real illness. The hormones go crazy at this time. Think of this as having a bad headache every month for a week. The pain doesn't go away- it stays and stays. That should give you an idea what it's like.

I feel that some really do have bad cramps, but then again, some take it to the extreme and use this definatly as an excuse. I know I have, especially when I was with someone and didn't want to have SE_. So, with that said, yes they do get moody, I think it is just because our bodies are going through changes during that time,, But some women get really really moody, that just means, to give them their space for a few days.. = )

All women are different, and some women, most, will experience sever cramping. It hurts more than you might think. Also, it isn't the cramps that put us in a bad mood, it's the hormones. All women differ in that aspect as well. Just deal with it. It's been that way since the beginning of time and it will continue to stay that way.

I used to have cramps so bad I would double over. However yes women do use PMS as an excuse. There was a time when there was no term PMS, it was just life. I think giving it a name created this situation where it because an excuse.

There is a natural chemical change that happens in a woman's body, mainly involving estrogen and hormones, when a woman has periods. Some people have changes that are stronger than with other people which causes the PMS you've heard about. If you begin to be bothered with moodiness, try Pamprin (OTC). Otherwise, "it's a woman thing".

PMS is caused by a hormone shift, women have no control over it and we don't like it either. We have no control over moods. As for the pains - have a good friend punch you very hard in the nuts for a week, that's the equivalent - than get back to us.

That is like asking if guys really get blue balls.
YEAH it hurts. Worse for others. And you really have NO idea. Especially with the mood thing. But do not take it personally. It lasts only a few days a month.
