Yes it can but we need to know more specs of the laptop cause the older the laptop XP may run slower. You can try but i suggest u backup yur important files on a cd or USB Stick/Pen drive if the worse case scenario happens meaning all yur information will be safe. Laterz.

You could but I dont think it would be the best, it will run really slow.
