If they don't know that they have it, then who came up with this statistics?

It is true that very large percent of population has it. Some people don't know that they have it, but they will find out very soon, as soon as they get symtoms and get diagnosed.

It is important to learn about it so that one doesn't give it to others, especially to your own childern at childbirth.

VERY important! Yes, it's true that a majority of the population does have it, or will have it at some point, with the majority of those people not showing any symptoms. HPV is a leading cause of cervical cancer in women - VERY IMPORTANT TO GET TESTED and BE SAFE!

yes it is true but not exactly as you have worded it. 75-80% of the population has or has had hpv. some people clear their infection but nearly all sexually active people will contract it at some point or another

I don't know how important it is to know if someone else has it. It's estimated that appx 20 million people currently have it and 5.5 million people a year are newly infected (50 to 75% of sexually active people are exposed to it). Most people show no symptoms, especially men.
