And he says I can only talk to a guy that is not one of my best friends if it's about school. Is this being too controlling?? I don't know...I need some more opinions...thanks.

shipwreck: Your name describes adequately how you are going to be treated in this relationship! A possessive person has security issues and he IS insecure. I'll bet you he has a BAD temper and yells at you quite a bit - right? If he loves you, he would want what is best for YOU and that translates into giving you the right to be wrong ! You are probably (haven't met you), a very intelligent ( you are asking for advice about you situation), pretty girl ( guys like to talk to you), about 13 or 14 years old. who thinks she has to put up with this jealous over-possessive hot head of a boyfriend - NO YOU DO NOT !!! There are guys, who are immature "yard apes" out there and there are guys, who will be glad to have you as their "chick" and treat you so. Drop your NOW boyfriend like he is a rattle snake before he hurts you.

i have had the same problem in the past .. there so used to controlling others like mabye there friends or brothers or sister that they think they can control you.. probably he learnt it from his parents or someone he looks up too. Sounds to me he is a very jealous guy and doesn't want to trust you because he doesn't trust himself you just have be the big one and say no .. and he will prolly ask why and you just have to defend yourself say that there your friends and you are your own person who can make your own decision pretty soon he will try in other way by telling you to do things like ordering you around and you just have to say no if you start from the begining and dont stand for any crap make him treat you like a princess because a guy who really cares will.. but with that being said you have to respect him to ... but some guys can get violent so if he gets violent let him go he is not worth it and if you then look for another guy dont settle for anything less than your highest standard because you will find that person! goodluck

It depends. Are you trying to sleep around on him behind his back? The way you interact with guys when this is in the back of your mind is completely different and quite obvious to most men. If that is the case, you are lucky he is simply being "controlling" (I'd have instadumped you and slept with your sister).
If not, then he is just being a wussy. Afraid that he will lose you if you even have access to other guys.

it sounds like for some reason your bf is jealous. if you want your relationship to work, you need to reassure him that you only want him and you are just being friendly to other guys. if he feels secure in your relationship and trusts you, he shouldnt have a problem with you talking to other guys.
if he still cant accept that, maybe you arent the right match for eachother.

Yes, he is too controlling because he isnt confident about himself that he can keep you. Dont listen to him, soon he will tell you not to talk to your friends, your family if you continue on together. Dont let him dictate your life.
