hi every one,I am 28 years old and having 220Lbs, special i have big tummy.Please suggest me how can i lose weight.Specially my tummy.I cant run bcoz of kidney problems.. I want to have a flat tummy without surgery. And what is 'Pilates' and how it can work for me.

I know you've probably heard it a hundred times now, but the answer really is exercise and eat less. Get a hobby to distract yourself from eating from boredom. When exercising, do something aerobic, like jogging, or the elliptical at the gym.

I wouldn't recommend pills or diet shakes though. I hear they don't help you keep the weight off, and you don't know about the side effects or the health risks.

Pilates is a low impact exercise to tone your body. I think it's more for toning than for losing weight. You can lose some weight, but I think aerobics will help you lose more.

Hello, I was over weight also, I am 26 i now and in shape and doing great and down to 110..( I am only 5ft) but I am fit, My key was that I eat chicken and shrimp and alot of fish nothing fried and I joined a gym, I had surgery on a nerve on my foot so I found that if I jog for about 10-20 mins, then do the mech. weights and spend about an hour or two there. Also you have to drink water it helps your body proses your metabolism most of it has to do with what your body will handle. To get your tummy in shape the best thing to do is crunches don't do sit ups it will hurt your back in the long run, but put your feet up on an elevation and work your way up to 800 crunches, or how ever many you want to do, for lower abs they are harder to work you can do the crunch were go go left to right and then put your feet in the air and move them up and down, the left and right also work the sides or you can get a weight and hang them in your hands and dip side to side standing up that works the sides too.
Pilate's is mussel toning is great but you have to be commeted to have it work. I hope I helped you and let me know cause I am still working out and weighing myself to keep the weight off. One thing that got to me was that at first it didn't feel like I was losing anything, but you WILL see it just not right away....talk to you later jesi

I weigh 229 and I am 30. I have been walking and working out for the last 4 weeks and i have lost 10 lbs. I eat onlt fish chicken (skinnless breast) and lean turkey breast. I eat veggies so much that I feel like I am about to hop out of the room lol. I started walking 2 miles a day for 5 days but now I am at 4 miles a day. I just joined a gym so I can tone as I lose and I also have a lot of fat around my waist area, but I do crunches on the ab machines and I feel my stomach getting harded and harder every day. So what I am trying to say is I am right there with you and you CAN do it too.

I have lost 20 lbs. by being on the South Beach Diet!! I have only been on it for 2 months. It dosent really require a lot of excercise, but it does require some. The first level is tough but it gets easier. THis diet cuts out carbs, sugar!! The best diet that I have ever been on. Buy the book or go to southbeachdiet.com!!

well honey, sorry to say- you can lose weight by dieting and excersize, but you will Never have a flat tummy without surgery..

What wil happpen when you lose an excessive amount of weight is there will be skin left that will hang over and will eventually need to be surgically removed.
Once you have gotten so big your skin stretches and ther is no excercise to shrink your skin back

Pilates is a type of exercises that is used to stregthen the core muscles. I would suggest to not waist calories on drinks, as well as diet drinks. Anything other then water can invetiably add to your weight.

Drink a lot water. The onley thing would to do sit-ups... Lots..

When I workout i do 100 of them, but its on one of those big air balls that are at the gym. and i do them 20 at a time.
