Mylar balloons!
Latex balloons explode and people can inhale pieces of them.
Get the balloons in your colors (many grocery / department/meglo store can order them in your colors) Have a friend paint your initials on them with craft paint , and use streamers or ribbon to float the balloons high enough above the table so as not to interfere with your guest seeing one and other.
You can use candy tied up in tulle as a weight to hold the balloons down during the dinner too!

My fiance went to Wal-Mart and bought some of those glass holders that you put them little candles into. She then went to the dollar store and bought some nice artifical flower with vines and put this around the bottom of these glass holders. Also plans on painting a picture, she's an artist, and having them set at each place setting to identify where people are to sit. Good luck, and wish I could be more help but she is looking after that kind of stuff as I'm not that good with that type of thing.

Wow! $4 a table - that's hard! I think you'd get the most bang for your buck by using some of the colored gems - I'll put a source link for a mixture that may work for you. Pour the gems down the center of the table and nest some votive holders with little candles in them. Most people think you won't notice candles when you have lights on, but they do still provide a soft glow. The clear gems will sparkle. You may even consider putting a little bit of sand in the bottom of the holder to give it a little punch. I'm sourcing the votives & holders for you as well. Good luck & congratulations!

My bridal bouquet was small because my wedding gown was very simple and elegant and I didn't want a huge bouquet that overtook my dress - so it was 7 blush pink roses tied in pink ribbon. We recreated my bouquet for every table centerpiece and had the flowers placed in simple clear square glass vases. They were beautiful, meaningful, and added just the right touch. We sprinkled pink rose petals around them and it looked perfect. Very classic - very inexpensive.

We used those honey comb tissue wedding bells that stood up there were two bells in a cardboard piece. We put metalic streamers on the tables with wedding confetti. Cheap but nice. We had white plastic table clothes that we got at the dollar store for $1.00, We also got plates, forks, and cups at the dollar store. We had plastic calendars printed up from Walter Drake with our wedding saying and our names for give aways. We had bubbles that we got by the dozen at Michaels craft store. My dress cost $35.00 from a formal rental place that was going out of business.($600.00 dress) I wore silk slippers from Walmart for shoes. I made the bridesmaids skirts and my daughter found real nice tops on sale at Fashion Bug. The guys suits cost the most as they were new. A friend made the cake. We had a beautiful wedding and will celebrate our first anniversary this Oct 21s.
Floating candles shaped like flowers in rose bowls are pretty to with flower candle rings. We were going to use these and I had bought them but we moved and I still haven't found them!!!
