There has to be some sort of shelter that your dad could move into. He has no right to look into your personal mail. Try talking with him and explain that if it continues that you will be forced to have him move out.

If you own the house your father has NO RIGHT going through
your mail. Even your other personal stuff. Remember how you
had to respect his thing when you were under his roof. Well the
table has turned, he needs to do the same for you. Give him the
treatment, no I'm just kidding. Just talk to him, tell him how it up sets you so much. Tell him he's aloud to go through it, just to check to see if he received any mail and that it. And that he's not
to open your mail at any time for any reason. Respect is the key
to each others privacy. NO BUTT!!. When My daughter and my
son-in-law all lived in the same house, we respected each
others things, it didn't matter what it was. What theirs is theirs and what mine is mine. Except for the food ,we all shared.

You need to sit down and have a real heart to heart with your dad. One that doesn't include crying and yelling...an adult conversation about what he's doing.

You need to remind him that it's your house, that he doesn't own it and has absolutely No right to go thru your mail. That's a federal offense. If you're worried about kicking him out, tell him you'll call the FBI and he won't have to worry about not having anywhere to go. Obviously, I feel your anger!

He's still treating you like a child. You need to set him straight. It doesn't matter who he is, you need to be willing to kick him out if he isn't going ot respect you or your privacy.

Try putting something in the middle of your personal items that will really freak him out. When I was a teen my mom used to do the same thing. She went through everything owned at the time. She crossed the line when she threw out half my collection of porno mags. I ordered a gay porno mag. and placed it in the middle of my collection. About 4 days she approached me with the mag and confronted me. I told her that I needed my privacy and that was my way of letting her know to stay away. After that she never went through my belongings again. She knows she may find something that she's not ready for and worse that next time It might not be a setup.

if i was you i would get some kind of lock box to keep your bills and other things in and can be kept under the bed out of sight and out of mind. At least he can't get into that.
The only other thing you can do is get a pobox and leave your mail there.

Get you a lock box to keep all your private things in that you don't want him to see. Tell him that if he keeps it up that you will make him leave. He shouldn't be going through your things. Thats your house, at least your letting him stay there. Good luck.

If your Dad is living in your house, he should abide by your rules.

Tell him clearly and firmly that he is not to invade your privacy and if he does it again he will have to leave.

Ask him to chose the suitcase that you are going to pack for him, if he ever does it again. Say it and mean it.

A few days at a homeless shelter might do him good.

The word that would be used when someone enters into a locked space which clearly they are not wanted to be in is trespassing. He is violating your privacy. If it is your house then lay the law down. If it was his house I bet he would be telling you that it is his house and he will do as he pleases.........so you tell him enough is enough.

Well, tell him that if he continues to do through your personal stuff, then he may have to find another place to live or get you a lock box with acode and take it with you or find a good hiding place.

Get a P.O. Box and have all your mil go there. You will be the only one with a key and it's only about $20 a month.
