ok, coag negative can sometimes be a contaminant too, here is how it works, one goes to the hospital, for one reason or the other the doctor gets blood cultures done, when peircing the skin the needle takes some skin bugs with it, the same bugs grow in the culture. coag negative are also skin flora, if it is one bottle out of 2 or 4 or 6 then it is a contaminant. if more than one bottles are positive then it may be an infection but still treatable. MRSA is a coag positive staph and on top it is methicillin resistant, hope it answers your question and hope your mom gets better, good luck

You do not say where the infection is? If it was tested in a hospital laboratory they would have tested for sensitivities too and should be giving her the right antibiotics to treat this infection.

It is a common bug found on the skin of lots of people (and in their noses too)
It should clear up soon with the right treatment.

no but do not take her to hospital she may contract mrsa
