When I was younger I thought it was like an illness, but now I think differently. Submission in the bedroom can actually give a person more confidance in the rest of their life. I don't know if I would call it a gift to be cherished, but it is definetly not a bad thing.

Do you mean submission in the Biblical sense? As in "Wives, submit to your husbands" -which means an expression of one aspect of the mutual submission that exists between equals in Christ. Unlike the traditionalist-defined submission of women today, the submission of women was not a universal, unilateral submission to the husband's spiritual authority. Paul's description of the husband's self-sacrificial love for his wife indicates that this is not a one-sided submission of wife to husband, but a reciprocal relationship.

Illness, most definitely. Why can't people just live their own lives without depending on the person they're dating for everything? It never hurts to take a dominant stance at least once in a while.
