The violent sects of Islam which are, unfortunately dominant. There are three sects of Islam: Zaidi(which I am honored to be an Imam of), Sufi, and Submitters-aka Quran only which are peaceful and renounce terrorism while the Sunnis make excuses for Bin Laden and Al qaeda and the Shiites make excuses for Hezbollah and their friends.

True Islam is peace. But less than 1% follow the peaceful deens. The other 99%+ follow the violent way of the caliphs. "Extremist" muslims are not in the minority as Bush and friends say-they are the "normal Muslims." It is peace loving Muslims such as my sect who are the "fringe" and condemned by the majority of "Muslims".

That certainly explains a lot about recent events in the Mideast.

Surah 30: Surah Ar-Rum, verse 30.32 :
(And you do not be from) those who break up their Religion and become (divided into) sects - Each sect becoming happy in that which is its own.

This is clearly a message from Allah subhanawataala that Allah does not want us Muslims to be divided! There is no such thing as Sunni or Shia or Zaidi in the Qur'an. These are all man-made.

And I looked at one of your questions on Yahoo Answers, you claimed Allah has a mother?! And you claim there is a "New Islam"? Are you a lost Muslim??? May Allah guide you back to the right path.

I agree with you on Islam being a religion of peace. But, I tend to disagree on the Sunnis. Many Sunnis do not back him. Shias have always tended to be more fanatical. I would think the Shias are backers of Bin Laden more than the Sunnis. And, yet, I do realize Bin Laden is a Sunni-Wahhabi, and the Wahhabis are ultra conservative. And, I have Sunni friends-I am not a Muslim. They are not this way.

Why do the moderate Muslims not stand up and made themselves be heard to the world? I know I have put myself out-and even ''on the line'' to defend Islam. Why can't Muslims do this, too------and condemn those who are radicals?

Usually, I answer questions. Your question is more informative than a query so I hope you do not mind if I ask you more questions.

What is the Zaidi philosophy on fighting (qatala fee sybil Allah) to rid the world of the "fitnah" (disbelief) and "taghut" (evil actions) of the "kuffar" (non-Muslims) that is in the Qur'an? Do the Zaidi disregard those verses?

Sayyid Qutb has the best explanation of the peace of Islam. It means peace (lack of war) for Muslims. Does it mean tolerance of non-Muslims? You can email me.
