Everyday thousands and thousands of people die from cancer.
Everyday on this Yahoo!forum at least one person says "Jesus is real, cause he cured my cancer!".

To me this last statement has always been one of the most arrogant statements I've ever heard. How can a person assume to be so important that some Higher Power picked him/her, cured his/her cancer, and at the same day lets thousands of others die from that same disease?

So either God/Jesus is very picky, or He simply doesn't cure cancer. I can't see how either of both options could ever be proof of a loving God.

Anybody can explain to me how this should be an example of a God that is Love?

If God actually got involved than innocent children would never be raped and murdered.

I heard a woman say that they prayed for the dentist not to hurt her and he answered her prayer. Yea, right. Like God is going to prevent a toothache but allow Adam Walsh to be murdered.

it says in the bible that God is a fair God, if he allows you to live but lets others die then its obviously what was supposed to happen. I think that the doctors should be given credit as well because God used there skills and knowledge to help him cure your cancer. last but not least, don't ever question why you lived, atleast your alive!!

Maybe the real question is how were you created? Some say we're decendents from monkeys...ugh, not me. I was created by God and decendents from Adam and Eve. He has the power to create you, cure you, or kill you. It's in His plan, not necessarily for you to understand. The death, birth, or cure of people affects many people for a higher purpose. To him, you're ability to understand is infantile. You either choose to believe or not - he gave you Free Will (a choice).

No one can know for sure anything God has in mind. You have to let God take care of his own plan for us all. We are all here for a purpose. To fulfill the will of God. God's plans are different for us all. Some he uses death to serve another purpose. Maybe to bring two people together.
What would this life be like without any pain, death, sorrow. Would we take for granted our lives without reminders of our mortality here on earth.

However, there is a reason that you were allowed to continue to live. This side of the grave, you may never know the answer. God did not cure my cancer, He allowed me to live and why I do not know. (Serious)

if someone is cured of their cancer, it is not because of God. it is because of the treatment they received in hospital, and the medication that has been administered to them. im sure hope and a will to live does help also

If youre looking for a rational explanation, you will not get one from them. It is all very elementary....they simply state that it was God's will that those thousands die while they survived.

And those that survive rarely give thanks to those that deserve it - the medical doctors who saved their lives...
