I volunteered in India for a while. I did not have a child with me but he would be more than welcome there! Its a school so maybe he could take classes with the kids!

http://www.travel-quest.co.uk/tqworking.htm don't know if this helps as a place for ideas, there is another company that does it that I can't remember what it is called at the moment as I looked into doing the same thing a while back although I don't have children (unless you count my husband - many would !!!)
I think it's a great idea to introduce your son to charity work & for him to see & help less fortunate people

Maybe try big brothers, they might be able to lead you in the right direction..

That depends on the laws of the country and the visas. Give us more details. What you gonna be doing? I would ask Oxfam.
