Because your genitalia isn't sterile. We wash our hands in case our hands have touched our genitalia or our erm...rectal region.

when a woman wipes, her hand comes into contact with more than just her urine. and there are alot of VERY nasty germs located in fecal matter. you can spread staphylococcus just from not washing your hands after urinating. staph infections can become rampant and are nasty to deal with as well as life threatening if not treated.there are many different reasons to wash your hand before and after using the restroom but i will just leave you with the thought of your little winky turning black and falling off from staph infection. use soap! and hot water!!!

because it is everything else that is not sterile and could possibly come in contact with your hands.....good question though!

It stinks. Have you smelt it and if it soaks on your pants it can make a nasty smell.
