2 + 1/2 cup flour, 3/4 cup white sugar, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1 cup butter or margarine (I use 1 tube butter flavored Crisco) 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking soda. Separate dry and wet ingredients. In a large bowl mix butter both sugars vanilla and eggs. The other ingredients should be all mixed together so mix that in with the wet ones. (add half--mix then add other half mix. add chocolate chips to your taste--I usually add about 3/4 cup and then I add raisin's and walnuts but you could just put in some walnuts or just the choc. chips. You should have preheated the oven to 350 before starting (sorry just remembered) drop cookies on baking sheet with a tablespoon, leaving room for them to expand a little--bake for 10 to 15 minutes depending on your oven. I usually bake for 12 minutes.
