I've never gotten the flu shot and probably never will. I try to stay healthy, eat a fairly healthy diet, get lots of fresh air and exercise as much as I can. I haven't had the flu in years & hopefully won't.'

I got the flu shot every year. And wondered why. Then one year, I did not get the shot, then got the flu, and now know why. I will not miss another flu shot. Death is not the issue. Feeling lousy for 2 weeks is.

i always get the flu shot since I am so subject to viruses. I have had the 'big' flus & have been sick for 1 month each time. No thanks! The annual shots are based on what scientists predict are the germs that will cause the flu that year. Health care workers, the elderly, the infirm and infants are most susceptible.

I do not get it EVER!

It is a combination of three Flu Strains that the CDC guesstimate's as to what they suspect will be coming around that year. There is no guarantee that it will protect you from any flu and they state that it can possibly make the flu less drastic if you get it. Well, that's if you get one of the strains they GUESSED may hit us. So, you risk getting ill from the injection, which most people do, plus, you are still at risk in getting the flu if you get hit with any of the WHO KNOWS HOW MANY STRAINS other than the three that "MAY"protect you.

No Flu Shot for this kid. . .I figure my immune system is functioning pretty well. . .I do not want to wear it down by making anti bodies that may not be needed to begin with. . .

Just my own choice. . .you all can make your own. . .

Children die from the flu. The elderly die from the flu. The shot consist of a weakened state of the virus, it's easier for your body to fight it. People aren't dying of the flu because we have it contained and under control. Lots of people in history have died before the vaccine was invented. Maybe its time to go back to school junior.

Well, your choice is fine for you. For those who fit into the high-risk catagory, such as children, the elderly, people with chronic respiratory ailments, and others, the flu vaccination can be a life-saver. Good luck.

I never use to take it until I was so sick one year i couldn't walk so I get it so why take the chance to get that sick. Usually people who die are children who have other problems and the elderly they don't tell you those stats do they?
