I have information about a woman who is an illegal alien. A couple of months ago she entered into a fake marriage to get her green card. I have known this information for a couple of months now and even though I do not agree with people entering into fake marriages to get a green, I decided to mind my business instead of reporting her to immigration. Well, now I have learned that this woman is going around bragging that she has beat the American system and that we Americans are idiots! Now like I said I was going to leave this woman alone but now she pissed me off and I want to report her to immigration. What do you think? Additional info...this woman has also bragged about gaining a job with a reputable company, Choicepoint Inc. This company provides background checks on employees for other companies. She is very full of herself and really starting to irritate the hell out of me. Please advise.

Do it! Aren't you tired of people coming here then bragging about how stupid Americans are? Well then, why do they want to be one? It's time to go back to your crappy country forever lady!
Wouldn't it be totally different if she told people every day how glad she is to be in this country? She needs to be flushed down the pot!

I disagree. I don't think you should report her.

First, you will probably be wasting the time of immigrations officers. How precisely do you intend to prove that her marriage is "fake"?

Secondly, it is as likely as not that you are listening to gossip which is not accurate. Note you say "I have learned that this woman is ...." You do not say "I have heard this woman..." She may very well not be doing anything of the sort. You ought not judge people through second hand reports.

Third, if she is working, then she is obviously a productive part of society. On what rationale would you interfere with someone who is a productive member of society, who has entered the country legally (even if that legality came to her through a non-romantic or "fake" marriage), and who has never personally done you any harm?

Be wary of judging others, less it come back to you. Think how much less productive she will be, and how much more miserable those around her will be, if she has to deal with an immigration investigation. (Which will have difficulty proving anything, anyway)

How are you going to prove it is a fake marriage. If she has a green card she was probably vetted by immigration already

To be somewhat basic, your grammar sucks and its style of puzzling to renowned precisely what you assert yet my superb wager is you prefer to checklist an unlawful immigrant. the excellent concern to do isn't ask the question on the cyber web (Yahoo solutions of all places too?), and seek advice from somebody you are able to have faith and who could honestly know the right thank you to try this.

Go ahead and report her, because this will make you a better person and a positive influence in your community from now on...because you better make sure you never offend anybody from now on; you may have weaknesses and some indignant do-gooder whom you have offended will undoubtedly turn you in too.

You aren't turning her in because you don't believe what she did was wrong (or you wouldn't have kept your mouth shut), you are turning her in because you don't like her and want to take her down a peg...so, will turning her in leave you with a clear conscience? Like you've NEVER tried to beat the system, ever?

It is your duty as an American citizen to report her and deport her. If you do not report her, you are just as guilty as she is in this conspiracy to thwart our system and you should be punished as well for not coming forward with this information when you first discovered it. You are a willing participant in her scheme if you do not report this.

You should report her, she will probably use her position to give all of her friends the US citizens background information. (Identity theft)

Don't report her for revenge, report her because it is the right thing to do. She is clearly taking advantage of her situation.
