It's fresher beer
It hasn't been pasterized (heated up to kill contaminants)
It tastes better because it's fresh and non-pasterized (I love Heinekin in kegs, but the bottled stuff makes me puke)
It's a whole lot cooler
It says "Party" more than a bunch of 30 packs
It's a lot eaiser to get donations for a keg
There's a lot less waste (most folks usually keep their cup)
Less waste = less cleanup.

There are 165 12 oz Servings in a standard 1/2 Barrel US keg… you can figure out the price per serving but they are usually about the same… remember some of you kegs fees are returned when you return the keg… If you like beer and like having partys it worth buying the trapper rater than renting…
The biggest benefit in kegs is I think the beer tastes better. It easier to keep a keg cold … less wasted beer and less garbage – 1 plastic cup per person rather than 165 cans although building beer can castles can be fun… ;)
A trash can with a moving blanket wrapped around the outside. put the keg in the can. Then add about 30 lbs ice cubes and cold water till the can is half full. Pack ice bags on top & cut the lid so you can place it on top…
Important rules to follow:
do not tap the keg until it is cold!
don’t over pump the keg - ask for directions read them and follow them… it will easily stay fresh for 4 or 5 days… if it lasts that long… cheers!

A keg is easier to transport and easier to keep cold. A garbage can with some ice works well. The deposit for the keg and tapper is what is expensive, but you get it back when you return it. The mess won't be as big. You can save money by having everybody bring their own cups and then you have very little cleanup.

I would say cheaper, but if the keg is just as expensive, then go with the cans...they will stay fresh longer, and then you don't have to worry about the deposit for the tap. Besides, you can shotgun a beer easier than you can do a keg stand.

A keg one has more beer and 2 will be a lot fresher and taste will be better. With bottles they need to feed it throught a machine and head it up and cool down. Yada yada yada and basicly take some of the taste out. With a Keg its kept cold and once its arrived its tapped with all the good taste that should be with it.

Its not about expense...its about taste and that nasty thing called clean up. Cans and bottles can be all over the place when the party is all said and done and lets face it beer in a can (not a keg can) is nasty without a widget.
Keg = better tasting beer, less clean up
Party on!!!

A keg is a ''free for all''....once people know it is on tap....as like with a keg...they drink more!
Cans are a better way to go, and people love holding something at parties....It makes them less inhibited,as far as conversation.
Kegs make parties-a -real booze-up!!..not a nice look.
If you have plenty of cans left over....save for Christmas...A keg is more a waste of money. And taste!
