You need to use a PDF converter. There are a number of free programs. After completing your Word document, from the menu bar, go to File > Print. However, instead of using your printer, you select the PDF converter program. The program will then convert the document in to a PDF file. Another ways is to use an online word processor. For example, I upload my Word documents to Writely, Google's online word processor, and then save them as PDF files.

If you want to use a software program,. I recommend PDF Creator, download link is: http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/PDFCreator/1092137928/1

If you want to use an online word processor, I recommend Writely (http://docs.google.com/BasePage.aspx) or ZohoWriter
(http://www.zohowriter.com/jsp/home.jsp). You can get a free account for both of them.

The PDF Converter from PDF-File Conversion Software gives you an efficient way to make PDF files and convert them to Microsoft® Word documents. Convert multiple PDF files to .rtf (rich text format) or .doc format while retaining the formatting of the originals; the PDF Converter identifies and replicates paragraphs, text labels, graphics, tables, and the flow of columns. The software converts heavy PDF files, extracts images from PDF documents, and converts PDF files in multiple languages.
