I am just getting into the Pampered Chef business and need to do four shows by Jan. I have one show booked already but how do I get three more?

You need to book one show per party to replace the party you're currently at. Make that your minimal goal; more are better, obviously.

I used to get a monthly email from a PC consultant. She had a "Recipe of the Month" in it, outlined hostess specials, had suggestions for items to use or give as gifts at Graduation times, Mothers or Fathers Day, July 4, Labor Day, TG, Cmas....

She'd also offer specials: Buy a stoneware item, get a spice blend free. Buy a mixing bowl and measuring cups, get a measuring spoon free. Stuff like that.

I always liked the emails, and felt like she was "my" consultant, even tho I only ordered from her once. She kept her name and phone and email in front of me, and I felt some loyalty towards her. With all the PC consultants around, I think that was pretty smart of her.

Well, since your in a smal town, you can poat ads on fre sites and say something like showing how to create tasty dishes with these fine cooking products. This way your telling the customers not only are they coming there to buy something, but there going to eat as well. If you can, lower your prices (if you have that ability) People want to know that your offering them a great deal. Posting an ad at the college isnt a bad idea. Maybe have a part at one of the dorms (if there are any). Now as for going to people houses I totally understand where your coming from. However, when you entered papmered chef your taking on a business and you need to work that business as you can. That incident with craigs list, how often does that happen? Jusat be cautous as to waht you do. Set the appointment up over the phone, meet the person in public, and decide when the party will be and how many peple will e there and what time it will be and get there "just before" the guest do. I sell candles and thats what I do.

You can usually book parties at parties. Make a flier and put it up in laundry mats and grocery store bulletin boards. Anyone that knows the products will be glad to have a party and earn their own goodies. Pick good recipe's that promote a lot of products. A pizza can show the stone, the mini rolling pin, the mini spatula, the cheese grater and the chopper. Of course the Pillsbury apple danish shows all of the above too, and it's so yummy.
Anyone who finds these products a rip off doesn't appreciate a good cooking utensil that really works and holds up, and probably doesn't do much cooking either. There is a big difference in kitchen utensils, and good ones are worth investing in. You'll have them forever.
Hey, I'm craving a Pampered Chef Party over here! LOL

Host your own open house. Let folks know that you are working to get your business started. Log onto the Consultant's Corner on the PC website. You can listen to pre-recorded tele-classes for ideas.
Talk to your director or her director if she has recently promoted.
Go to cluster meetings.
Good Luck!

Well, Who ever introduced to this "business" should be helping you build this business. Right now you have to ask your friends if they are interested in having these "parties" Go to MLM survivors in Yahoo groups.
