GRENADINE CANDY APPLES
6 red apples
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup grenadine syrup
2/3 cup light corn syrup .
Place a large cooling rack on a baking sheet lined with parchment or wax paper.
Insert a fork into the top of each apple. Combine the sugar, grenadine, and light corn syrup in a saucepanand bring to a simmer. Stir until the sugar is dissolved, brushing down any crystals on the sides of the pan with a pastry brush dipped in warm water. When the sugar is dissolved, bring to a boil until the syrup reaches 285°F. on a candy thermometer, the soft-crack stage.
Set the pan over-not in-boiling water. Working quickly, use the forks to dip the apples, one at a time, coating them evenly with the glaze. Remove from glaze and twirl each apple so the extra syrup drips off. Set the apple on the cooling rack. When you have dipped all the apples once, repeat the process. Remove the forks.
Serve at room temperature. Best eaten within 24 hours

I have two for you to choose from, they're both really good.
ENJOY !!!
"Red Candied Apples"
6 small apples (McIntosh, Jonathan
Red Delicious, Stayman, Winesap, or
Baldwin are best)
6 popsicle sticks
3/4 C. red cinnamon candies (red hots)
1/4 C. granulated sugar
1/2 C. boiling water
1/4 tsp. fresh lemon juice
Few drops red food coloring
Wash and dry apples and insert sticks into stem end of each. Apples should be room temperature to prevent moisture from forming inside the taffy. Mix remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat in a small saucepan until it reaches 300ºF on a candy thermometer (softball stage), about 12 minutes. It takes a while to reach this stage but it occurs quickly, so do not leave the area while the syrup is boiling. As it nears the 280ºF mark, watch closely as it may burn if you do not take it off the heat.
Quickly dip each apple into the hot syrup, covering it completely, and place it on a greased cookie sheet to dry. Store on wax paper in a dry area. If they are stored in a moist or refrigerated area, they will weep and become sticky.
Candied Apples Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups light corn syrup
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup cinnamon red-hot candies
Eight medium Red Delicious Apples, washed, skewered with sticks
Chopped walnuts or pecans, optional
Directions:
Combine the corn syrup, sugar and red-hot candies in a saucepan and bring the concoction to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Cook, covered for about 3 minutes to allow steam to dissolve crystals that may form on sides of pan. Uncover and cook without stirring to the soft crack stage, 290F degrees on a candy thermometer or until syrup dropped in very cold water separates into threads that are hard but not brittle. Allow the hot candy mixture to cool for 2 minutes, then dip the apples into the mixture to coat the surface of the fruit. Allow any excess candy coating to drip off from the apples into the saucepan.
Roll the candy coated apples in nuts, if desired.
Place the candied apples on foil or wax paper squares to cool completely
