There is a breed of cat called the turkish van that loves the water and will actually swim.

I understand that some of the jungle large cats don't mind water very much. Have heard that Van cats like to "fish" quite a bit. However, don't think there's any breed that really "likes" water....judging from the reactions of a lot of them when getting the annual bath....(what a mess!)

All cats can swim they just don't like to. In the wilds they sometimes have to swim to catch their prey and that includes domestic cats chasing rats.

Yes they are . But some cat's loves water or dont . My kitten does. Depends on the cat.

Good Question. I have two...same kinda cats, one HATES water, the other one really doesn't mind it at all, she actually gets in the shower when it's still all wet. They're regular old tabby's.
