New York is a great place to visit year round. There is always something going on for almost every interest/budget.

It can get cold here in February (in the teens) but sometimes we luck out and get weather in the 50's. Chinese lunar new year often falls in february and New York has 3 chinatowns.

We have some really great museums. The entrance fees can be high but some like the Met have a suggested admission fee and most have a free or pay what you wish night.

If you like music there are hundreds of venues for live shows. There is also all kinds of theatrical productions from big broadway shows to way off, off broadway advant garde stuff.

There are scores of different neighborhoods you can walk around and explore. All kinds of shopping. And if you are feeling outdoorsy we have central park or an hour or so outside of town great hiking trails.

February is the time when no tourists are here and you can find some great deals on hotels and Broadway shows. Definitely see a Broadway show. Also, enjoy other indoor activities like the many museums there are to see. Don't miss the Museum of Natural History or the Metropolitan Museum of Art. There is also the Planetarium attached to the Natural History Museum. If you like modern art see the MOMA or the Guggenheim. You can see Grand Central, the NY public library, St. Patrick's Cathedral, the NBC building at Rockefeller Center, you can shop down 5th Ave. or in other parts of the city that are less expensive, enjoy all of our restaurants and other forms of entertainment like live music or comedy, and you COULD go ice skating in Central Park, but it's pretty cold in February, so I'll leave that up to you.
