I am going to Paris for 1 month after Christmas and I'm worried I'll run out of space on my digital camera's memory card. How easy is it to find a place that will put my pictures onto a CD? About how much do they charge? I know just about any drugstore in America will do it for about $4.... but this is my first time in Europe.

There are several places were you can go with a memory card to impress your photos, and they're not that expensive (well, more expensive than in America I think), and though they need to put the pictures onto a CD first to impress them , I guess they can only give you the CD and I'll say it's more than $4.

Those are the only ones i can think of but you can find them everywhere !
I also suggest that you find someone who will put your photos into his computer and then onto a CD. It will be easier for you and will cost you less money if you can find that kind of person.

You can have it done at la FNAC (which is a series of large stores dedicated to "leisure": music, movies, books, photos and PC's) there are several in Paris, and they will be a bit cheaper than a regular photo shop, (which you can also find most everywhere). The CD will be probably about double what you'd pay in the US...
Another suggestion, get a second memory card. If you have two 512 MB cards you should have enough for somewhere between 1100 and 1200 pix. Then have them downloaded to CD's in the States, where it is less expensive. (Memory cards have also become cheaper, so it might be worth your while to have the spare even for after your trip to Paris!)

You'll get the same service now in Paris in any camera shops. Prices may vary.
FNAC shops, departemental stores, ...

As said above you may go to a FNAC store and get it done for about 5 eur per cd. one of those store at forum (mall)des halles Metro :les halles.Obviously you have a computer, you can also send them to your own computer.

buy yourself another memory card. you won't regret it. good luck in paris with all those french a**holes though. when I go back to europe in a couple of years that is one country I am definitely gonna skip!
