my little brother is in 2nd grade and today i was helping with his homework, I was helping with hes homework and i went up stairs to my room to chage out of my school clothes, { just for a few minutes} and my little brother came up to ask me to sit down stairs with him to help him with hes homework, then before i get to sit on the couch the phone rang and i answered it and this lady called and wanted to talk to my mom but she wasnt home so i hanged up and told my dad that a lady called and wanted to talk to mom { while i was talking to my dad my little brother starts calling my name in a very bad attitude } so i got kindda mad , he was lying on the couch stealing all the space i told him i'm talking to dad and he needs to wait, once i told him that i told him to get up and give me some space to sit so i can help him with his homework, he didnt say anything and didnt even get up, i told him 2 times to get up but he didnt so i got even madder so i said" you know what ,fine do your own HW

then he ask me to give him a answer to this hw problem and i said do ur own hw and he said" Cause i hate you" and all i said was fine, I stood up to his mean words to long and i'm not gonna stand it anymore he calles me a b i t c h , s l u t , w h o r e , @$$ hole and j a c k @$$, i call him that too, when he say it to me

you were definitely right. Your little brother was just being really snobby, and he should get through his head that if you want help, accept the bargain, and if he needed to wait, then he should have, and not have been so impatient.

First of all young lady, the language you are both using is horrible!! No wonder he's behaving that way, his big sis is! And who do you learn that from? He's maybe 7? It is still important to him to have your attention, you were to preoccupied with others even though it was necessary.

You have to realize that he is only in 2nd grade..he doesn't know any better. If he looks for your help in a bit, just give it to him. If not, then let him do it on his own. Hey, you know, little kids have bad days, too.

You should know better then to call him names.. when he gets like that ignore him... and if you say you are going to help him then you should have said to him that you would be back in a few minutes. but you got mad because he get mad. you made things worse by saying nasty things.... he is just a kid....

He was in the wrong. He needs to learn that he can't always have what he wants (in this case, it was your attention). He just needed to have more patience in this situation. Try to explain that to him, and apoligize that you couldn't be there for him (Even though he was being a bit naggy and whatnot).
It's just something he needs to learn to understand.
