This also happens with our 2 local newspapers. The only trouble is, by the time you know it's there (normally the next morning) it is soaking wet!

It's often not the companies themselves that employ these leaflet distribution people - it's more an outside company who (you will often find) advertise for anyone to distribute leaflets through the local newspapers..... these companies have an arrangement with different business, not just pizza, to find people to do this - they're called 'home workers' and often get paid peanuts per hundred/thousand leaflets delivered. These people, although some can make ok money, often have to tramp around with their shopping trolleys full of leaflets and deliver in all weathers, and very often at all times of the day into the late evening - so they're not really concerned about how far the leaflet has been pushed in your letterbox - more that you've got a leaflet and they can get on to the next house, and the next house, and the next house, and the next street, and the next street ............
