OK, I'm no expert when it comes to the bible but:
1) Mary & Joseph thought he'd follow in Joseph's footsteps (i.e. become a carpenter) and were a little surprised to find him so interested in religion. So whether or not he had the answer depends on whether or not he REALLY was the son of God. Maybe he was simply refering to God as his creator rather than his true father - in which case he probably did wonder WWJD. Surely that is more likely. I mean, if he really was the son of God then wouldn't his interest in religion have an obvious origin?

2) The Holy Trinity was made up when Christianity was adopted (or should I say adapted?) by the Roman Empire, thus becoming the Catholic religion (the religion of the Empire). The Romans liked having things in threes. They also liked the idea of everlasting life, hence the re-writing of the bible to suit their own ends. But that's another story.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the details of Jesus' previous heavenly life may not have been revealed to him until his baptism by John the Baptist. The overwhelming effect on his human brain may be one of the reasons the holy spirit led Jesus to isolate himself for forty days of meditation and prayer immediately after his baptism.

(Luke 3:21) Jesus also was baptized and, as he was praying, the heaven was opened up

(Matthew 3:16) After being baptized Jesus immediately came up from the water; and, look! the heavens were opened up

(Mark 1:9-10) Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized in the Jordan by John. 10 And immediately on coming up out of the water he saw the heavens being parted. . .

(Mark 1:12-13) And immediately the spirit impelled him to go into the wilderness. 13 So he continued in the wilderness forty days

He regularly went to the house of his father.(Luke 2:49). Then as an adult said that what he taught was not his own but what he learned from his father (John 7:16) So I guess he knew WWJD

I'm sure He thought about it and continued to ponder it as His physical body assumed the manly proportions of His spiritual nature.
