If you want hot and cheap in Jan then the only place to go is one of the Canary Islands.

Oz & New Zealand will both be warm in January, and the exchange rate with most countries is quite good so cheap too.

BRAZIL!! january is one of the best times to come. it´ll be warm all over and you´ll be able to enjoy the awesome beaches down here. plus, everything is pretty cheap. you´ll get a nice hotel for under $50.
