How in the h.ell does anyone know how God thinks about anything.
If you believe that hogwash in the bible, fine. That does not give anyone the right to dictate morals throught the law.
What is even worse, is they teach this hate crap to their children.
If you are against gay marriage than by God, don't marry a gay person. Most of the gays that I know are too good for you anyway.

Go ahead insult me, you hate filled bigots. Prejudice and discrimination are signs of a very small, insignificant mind.

Patrick, how dare you think that you can decide who should be allowed to marry. If they put an intelligence requirement on marriage, you would never be allowed to marry.

Ok i am feeling better now. Many of you made good points. My comments are indeed bigoted against the religious fanatics. In principal I am exactly right. I should not have made the question so angry.

I essentially agree with you, but...
You're calling Christians "Hate-filled bigots" after posting what is obviously flame-bait for the very same demographic. What's more, you yourself seem to be a hate-filled bigot.
And then you get pissed off when the people whose buttons you're out to push get mad at you. What a fukking hypocrite you are!

People cannot speak for God. They do not have to.
Questions posed from Atheists such as yourself ask why does God allows such things to happen.
It is called free will.
We elect representatives in a democracy. They dictate moral policy in the law.
I do not know where you can make such callous statements. It seems you may be trying to better yourself by belittling others.
That is a shame.
Seems like you may have had a bad day.
I have many friends who are Atheists and my daughter has gay friends. They would not think to describe our Faith such as you have.
Have some rest and try again tomorrow.
Have a good evening.

It's 6:00 in the morning and I have just gotten off a 16 hour shift at the ER and let me tell you if you aren't afraid of what the word God does to people come join me for a night, really. It is pretty scary. Gorgeous Texas woman is one of the sweetest, kindest most loving people I know, she gives everyone a chance, she is spiritual and she listens to all. She has every right to rant when it gets to be to frickin much! SO those that insulted or were cruel? Shame, shame. Everyone has the moment, let her have hers.....By the way it was a sound argument....

We know how God thinks about things ; cuzz it says in the bible. We also dont hate gays and if a christian says they hate a gay they have no room to talk or say that there a christian. Its the christians job to spread the word of god and we're suppose to hate the Sin not the sinner.Adam and eve not adam and steve thats gods words.(xcept in diferent dialect)
You should probly look at christians from a whole instead of a certain family or person its not ur job to judge anyone.nor christians to judge. Its God's job alone and that day will come.
you may not believe in the bible or god or any of that stuff and im sorry if you dont u really dont know what your missing out on u should look into it if for nuthing else juss to check it out .

OK.... seperating baby from bathwater... (I think there is a valid real heartcry question here...
I can speak for God in the same way that any child can speak for his father from what he has learned about him from being with him and knowing him and talking with him... because God is my Father.
But that aside, I can speak for Him because I have read the "Book" and it reveals God's thoughts.
And besides that, SOMEbody has to, for it seems that people are generally out of touch with God, so why not me?
Here is a thought, many people get angry when associated with some particular activity that God has revealed to be negative or bad or wrong in the Kingdom of Heaven. God hates sin! but He loves the sinner, so when a particular "sin" is shown to be wrong, most people would rather get up in arms defending it than to accept God's mind on it and disassociate themselves from whatever it may be. And they get angry because they take the revelation of whatever is being exposed as wrong too personally. Hey, if God says some particular activity is taking you the wrong direction in Life, why hang onto it? let it go and He will give you something better in its place. and that's my 2 cents worth

I do believe what the Bible says, and I have felt His presence in my life. I have the right to speak for God (humbly of course because I am human and capable of mistakes). I know how He thinks because He touches me with the Holy Spirit each day, and I read the Bible from which I obtain my instruction. There are many Christians who are a bit over zealous, but they are seriously trying to pass along their feelings of security in God's teaching. The Bible specifically has teachings against homosexuality, and I have to take His word as truth knowing that men of God were inspired of God to write the words down for us to use as instruction. I would not marry a gay person because that would make me "unequally yoked", and I would be ineffective for God. We are all sinners. I am saved by the grace of my Lord Jesus Christ in whom I have placed my trust. As a result of this decision, I am obligated to confess Him before men (and women). Jesus died, was buried, and was raised from the dead so that us mortals could have eternal life - all we have to do is accept Him, and He will receive us with open arms and know our sin no more. I will be praying for you to do just that. He will get your attention sooner or later - please accept Him before it is too late. Thank you for reading, and I hope that I have pleased God in passing along my thoughts.

The bible, is the word of god though apparently you consider otherwise.
Seeing that the bible is theword of god, those who want to follow god feel the need to use it in worship. so, thiers nothing wrong with following god's morals. He wants humans to do so.
The bible doesn’t' tell people to hate gays or gay marriage. Doing so is unscriptural and far from imitating Jesus or god. god respects all people, no matter what their background or beliefs. He only shows what is right and what is wrong. it's everyone choice, because of free will, whether or not to follow his will. People of a certain belief of course tell so to their children, although they should leave the choice to their children as to what religion to have, they all want their children to follow in their foot steps. Everyone does it, Christians, Jews, atheists, Muslims, etc. theirs nothing wrong with displaying your love for god (or lack of it) by teaching your children to do the same.

No one is speaking for God. They are letting God speak for Godself. The bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit the third person in the trinity. We are not teaching hate. No one is not hate homosexuals. It is a question of agreeing with their lifestyle or not. Marrying someone is putting ones stamp on their marriage saying that they are ready to serve God. God cannot be served in sin. We cannot marry heterosexual people either if we think that there lifestyle is not conducive to the gospel message.

You obviously don't understand respect for the beliefs of others. To many, including myself, the Bible is not "hogwash".
I teach tolerance, not hate, to my children. I also teach my children not to stereotype. As far as gay relationships, I believe God loves us all and that it's not my right (nor my desire) to judge gay relationships.
For someone who seems to not approve of "teaching hate crap", your post sure seems to contain alot of it.
