"God" has nothing whatsoever to do with marriage. Marriage is a civil institution. Atheists marry, hello? There is nothing wrong with gay marriage. Anyone who thinks gay marriage is wrong is, frankly, a bigot, no matter what excuse (biblical or otherwise) they use for their bigotry.
This is a silly question -- not your fault, but it's ridiculous to think that marriage has to be between a male and female. To those who protest: It's none of your damn business. Period.

Marriage should be between two people who love and care for each other. I don't care if it's two men, two women or a man and a woman getting hitched. Love is love, no matter what. It's not going to affect my world one bit if Eve and Sally or Adam and John get married. I say good for them!!!!
If a person does not like gay marriage, then don't go to the wedding. It's not like the weddings are happening in your living rooms, people!!!!

i think of that gay or lesbian people ought to have the spectacular same rights as those in a woman-male dating. What makes them any diverse from the others? no longer too lots. they have no rights to assert that a house with 2 people of a similar intercourse is far less loving and being concerned that the different (on the adoption rely) Plus, how can governments limit whilst 2 clever writers, persay, of a similar intercourse, who've been jointly for 2 many years in a mature dating can't be legally married, yet johnny spaghetti sauce can knock up some chick in highschool for kicks and that they pass and get hitched. It is senseless. (That analogy, by way of the way, is thru Seth MacFarlane)

no i do not believe in homosexuality at all... the BIBLE specifically states that it is wrong...
Leviticus 20:13 "If a man also lie with mankind as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them"
Romans 1:25-32"Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."

Do I believe Gay marriage should be legal, Hell yes.
To the Fundies that seem to think that quoting their bible has any legal standing, go pound sand.
I really don't care what the bloody verse you've managed to dredge up has to say. The Bible was written by men, and men have prejudices, and let that color their work.
Homosexual tendencies are, from what I've seen, genetic. People aren't "made" gay, they are born that way. Which means then, in your definitions, God made them that way. so get down off your high, moral ground, and don't judge what God has made.
Love shall be the whole of the law, so those who love, cleave unto one another, and be faithful to your love.
Hail Eris! All Hail Discordia!

Marrige is a Hetro Religious establishment. Unfortunaly in most of the world. A person dose not have the abilty to choose a life partner and have them reconised as that. unless that partnership conforms to that establishment. Marrige is religious in form and shud stay that way. But, a person shud be able to choose who they wish to spend their life with and have that leaglely reconised . So they can take care of eachother . no mater the sex or the sexual orintation

NO!!!. It is an abomination to God and a perversion of the holy sacrament of marriage which is only meant for a man and a woman. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for this sin, and I fear that if people keep on pushing it now God will show His wrath again.

well your god may not have intended that. but there are other gods that really do not care.
marriage is a legal contract between 2 people. it entitles folks to insurence and death benifits. to deny a person the ability to be married based on their sexual preferance is no better than denying them marriage because of their skin color.
furthermore, the first ammendment says that congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.
I happen to be an ordained minister. my beliefs and my religion do not dictate whom may be bound together legally or spiritualy.
and the government should not make laws that restrict my religious freedom to preform a legal and binding ceramony for anyone that wishes to be married/handfasted.
if a church or a pastor has a belief that restricts them from preforming this ceramony they should not be required to do it. but my beliefs should not be trampled in the process.
furthermore, this is simple discrimination. if they were tryong to deny marriage rights to African Americans, or American Indians, or Asian or anyone based on their nationality or skin color there would be such a public outcry that it would not even be an issue.
but because they happen to love someone of the same sex it is ok to discriminate against them...
and after the Gay folks we can discriminate against people of different religions,,and then fat people (that is already starting actually)
a ban on gay marriage is taking this country one step closer to being a christian theocracy. something that it was founded against.
so i am for gay marriage.

for thoes that owuld say that it goes against nature.
several animals exhibit displays of homosexuality. emperor penguins are actually known to take a same sex mate for life.
dolphins do heve sex for pleasure as do several mamals.
several types of livestock are known to have same sex intercourse.
so it happens in nature. therefore it is natural.
besides what does it matter to you what someone halfway acrost the city is doing behind closed doors.

Do I believe they exist? Yes. But then I believe that drunkenness exists. I believe that jealousy exists. I believe that blasphemy exists. Sadly sin has existed since the first sin. So yeah all these things exist but the real question is -- is God pleased by the existence of these things and are they sin?
Yes, I believe that God is displeased by all the above and they are all contrary to His will and therefore sin.
