Choose your camera from the reviews at www.cnet.com

then get your camera from ebay - go for high feedback rating, sellers who take paypal, and 99% or higher positive feedback.

I have a good Fuji at work and Mrs Eep has an excellent Kodak. The Fuji (Finepix) would be worth less than a hundred today.

I got a great fuji finepix a500 from jessops for less than £100. I know its 5 pixel and you can get them with more but to be honest the difference if you print at standard size isnt noticable and all the fuji cameras ive owned and seen take great pics but what I like best is it has a viewfinder as well so i can take photos without having to hold the camera at arms length or having to shade the LCD screen in bright sunlight.

If you can find a Canon S70 on Ebay in good condition-grab it. It's the best camera. Canon discontinued it. It's the only point and shoot camera that I found that had camera raw. They probably discontinued it because it was too good and less than the more elite models. easy to use and it takes great pics.

pass onto Fry's Electronics internet website. They sell an excellent style of close outs and reconditioned cameras in that budget. As for reconditioned, before i purchase 2 HP cameras for $seventy 5 each and each and that they are nevertheless capturing - and that has been 6 years in the past.
