i served my country and yes as a sailor i was 100% behind them, as a civilian I leave it up to government and the military

Sure I help every 4 years without pay, I VOTE. I also volunteer to make this country and by extension the government better. All for no pay!

We have a local park that was closed because too much trash was being dumped there. I offered to stop by several times a week and pick up litter for free if they would reopen it and allow people to pull in and rest and stretch and check their maps. Right now they use the shoulder of the road, right next to the park. The government said" No." Sad isn't it, and this is right off of Route 66 in Missouri.

Your premise is false. Many people will help their community without pay. I've never met anyone who would help the government without pay. They are not the same thing.

I help the government plenty. 30% of my income to be exact. I don't mind helping the government out, just not the people that represent it.
