I suggest taking it to a groomer. Its much easier, and you dont have to be the bad guy.Your vet can give you light sedatives for your cat prior to going in to be shaved.
3 of my cats gets shaved on a regular basis, and they no longer mind it, they like not having all that hair.

I'm a groomer for 20 years. Clipping cats is very difficult. They have skin like tissue paper and is very easy to cut. Whats harder is holding on to a pissed off cats without getting scarred for life. Take it to a groomer. It's worth what ever price you pay for it. You'll end up hurting the cat, and even yourself.

Shaving a cat is very tramatic for a cat and usually really pisses off the cat. If she is determined to shave the cat then take it to a groomer.

It's cruel to shave a cat . And for the the cat will get mad for getting shaved . The need thier fur to keep warm .

Why in the world would she want u to do that? Seems VERY cruel if u ask me. If she didn't want a cat with fur, than she should have gotten a hairless cat to begin with.

Take it to a professional groomer. It will be less stressful on kitty and may save you some scratches and bites from a scared kitty.

duh,haven't you ever seen cats curl up when they are warm and cozy ,cats do not like to be cold why would you do such a thing?would you like to go outside naked next time temperatures drop down ?????whatever shave her head....

dont shave kitty, go to the pet shop if you really must remove the furr from kitty (they look ugly shaved in my opinion)
