My pupils are always dilated, even in bright lights they're more dilated than everyone elses'. Twice in the past two days people at work have commented on how dilated they are. What could be causing it? It's not a recent thing, it's been going on for years now. Doesn't cause me any problems, except that I'm really quite photosensitive - bright lights really hurt my eyes.
I'm not using any recreational drugs before anyone suggests that.....

Some people are just born with wider pupils than others and as a result may be more photosensitive. As long as they are equal in size and do react to light (constrict somewhat and then redilate) it is not a problem. Most probably your doctor has noticed this but did not think it important enough to comment on.

Oh gosh badger there are so many causes for dilated pupils it is hard to even start. I will recommend that you go to google or a search engine and type in dilated pupil causes. There is a lot of information there. Good luck.

IF you are a very happy and alert person, you can naturally have dialated pupils:
People with a lot of charm have naturally dialated pupils as well.
NEXT time a man looks at you lovingly, notice how his eyes dialate! You are probably a very happy person. You also probably are very social, and love life.

That's called mydriasis and there are some medical conditions that can cause this, but also there are some medications (not recreational drugs) that can cause this to happen.
You really should discuss it with your doctor just to be safe.

If you have used methamphetamine, it's quite likely that it's a perma-tweak. Otherwise, I would suggest that you talk with an optometrist about this. it could just be you and the fact that you are not like everyone else.

i always had large pupils too, and my friends call me a crackhead, haha. but im not. :] usually they take over my whole eye when i get super excited or have adreniline rushes. i think it's just genes.

There are other reasons why our eyes become dilated.......for instance during sex/sexual tension they become dilated so we look more attractive to the opposite sex......I guess you may have the hots for someone that you work with,.... also when we are under pressure they do this...

Much like my GF, it could just be that you have wider-than-average pupils.

could be a problem with your brain like a slow growing tumor...not to scare you but that's a symptom...might wanna go to the doctor...and soon
