first off, is that his real name, or nickname? if it's his nickname, you can always just refer to him by his real name if you're more comfortable that way. secondly, if it's his real name, and you like him, what difference does it make? have you ever heard the phrase "a rose by any other name still smells just as sweet"..? that means changing his name doesn't change who he is. i personally feel that it would be a little shallow not to date someone simply because of their name. you didn't get to choose the name you were given at birth, none of us do...

I remember a character by that name from a book i read as a child. judy bloom i think. never thought little fudgie would make it to adulthood!!! sure if he wants to take me to dinner... tell me how it's been these last twenty years i'd love to go....
