i recently found out that my sons friends dad is single. i know the dads ex but we arent friends but when i do see her we are friendly; i know them thru my sons little league. is it wrong to ask him for a drink? I didnt even know they were divorcing cause they get along great... he always takes the time to come talk to me whenever i see him... hmmmm?

Yeah, tough one. You don't want to look like the desperate housewife wanting to get laid and the social rules about how to approach are confused. I would suggest you simply arrange to be where he is (Little League?) and when you see him, strike up a conversation. If he stops to chat, then ask him for coffee after the game or something like that. You also want to think about your son and at some point if things go well you need to have a chat with him about how he feels about his "friend" as his step-brother. It sounds like a good deal, though. Go forward.

Ick. Is this really necessary? Wanting to get with your son's friend's father just sounds so skuzzy. I bet the Little League Games are going to be just great for the kids with all the adults sniffing around each other. I'm calling it a foul.

No it would not be wrong for you to ask him for a drink. That comes off as sincere and friendly. Just ask and you shall receive

just go for it, theres nothing to lose besides and awkward moment, that can easily be forgotten, time is a-wastin!! how often do you see a "hot" SINGle dad, and he loves his kids!??!
