i hope you will be able to get your life to a place where you can handle the challenges you are now facing. what are you doing to make yourself a better parent to your daughter? i hope things get better for you. i wonder if you have an older person in your life who can help you.

I am a teen who is 3,000 miles away from my mom living with my dad. That is 4 days. So, get a friend to take you, public transportation, ride a bike, walk if you are really gutsy, or drive yourself. If these can't work, work with the father to come up with a meeting place halfway from both homes and pick up your kid there. A last resort if you have money and live in CA, take him to court. 9 out of every 10 cases the mother gets full custody, unless the mother has a mental defect like mine.

you say you have joint custody. this entitles you to see your daughter at anytime.
what you do need to do is establish visitation with the court. get a set schedule of what time you will be spending with your daughter, who will be arranging transportation for these visits and how long these visits will be. these set visitation times allows you full access to your daughter and under no circumstances can you be restricted from seeing your daughter during these times.
go to the county courthouse where your daughter resides and talk to the free legal aid that is located there. they can help you file the proper paperwork to get this process started.

If you really want to see a child, 3 hours is not that far away. I would crawl on my stomach, crawl on my knees...anything I can to get to my child. I'm dealing with the same situation with my grandson's mother (we have legal guardianship). I chose to allow her to continue contact with her son and visitation. Yet she always has an excuse! Sounds about the same as yours, so forgive me if I am not sympathetic to your delima.
An excuse is just what it sounds like, an excuse!

she's 2 which means she isn't in school yet. Pick her up let her stay with you for a month or even a few weeks then bring her home and yall can take turns every few weeks. For now and then think of something else once she's in school.

I'd do whatever it took to see my children. I'd sleep on the street in the town that is three hours away. Sounds like you have lots of excuses. If you really wanted to see your child you would.

you are the child's mother, why don't you have full custody of her? children need their mother especially in early childhood, more so than they need their fathers. I would suggest you pack your stuff and get closer to your daughter ASAP. nothing should be more important to you.
