READ THE WHOLE THING VERY INTERESTING!

Many have concluded that non-renewable resources minerals and petroleum are unlikely to be depleted because as their costs rise, we will find substitutes, we will recycle, or we will make new sources accessible. Yet the extraction of these resources places a heavy toll on natural and social systems.

Indicators show, however, that renewable resources water, forests, topsoil, fisheries are under extreme pressure under our current practices, and their productivity is in decline. These resources are the basis for life on this planet, and their exploitation constitutes the primary source of livelihoods for most of the world's population. As human population doubles, and as we seek to improve the welfare of the three billion people who live on less than two dollars a day, pressure on these resources shall only increase.

Let assume u are correct are u going to let your family go without oil or food. who will make those decision.I like to think that we can make it work. if u don't start trying u are already defeated. There are some that don't trust the present oil producers. Eventually they will use it as a weapon against us. There are several people that are looking for solution. All the south is looking at the possible production of oil for diesel engines from Cotton seed oil. the left over seed will be seed for livestock feed. several other oils are being considered. these will be small plants in many different areas. There is much to be done, opening up new drilling, using coal for electric power, etc.
U have a lot to do get to work.
