Well if you get the right cut it shouldnt be pouffy. Like it should be thinned out with a scissor razor and layered pretty good. John Frieda has good products for frizziness. Theres also lots of styling creams you can put in your hair after washing it and before blow drying. And when you blow dry you should use a diffuser. Also if you start a regimen like, using defrizzing shampoo and conditioner products it should help too.

I have the same hair type. Some good shampoos and conditioners for hydrating the hair, I found, to help a lot in controling frizz. I recommend Matrix Biolace Hydra-Seal Leave-in Creme. I love it. My curls stay tight and soft and do not separte and frizz. As for hairstyles, I do a pulled back pony with the pony messy and curly, loose and clip middle section of hair back, headband with messy gathering of hair with a clip, half up - half down, etc. With our hair we can get away with leaving it messy, it looks really good 99% of the time. Definetly try the Matrix!

you need to buy a blow dryer, potion number 9, biosilk, a big round brush and a good shampoo/conditioner (dumb blonde by bed head is great). on a day off wash your hair and towel dry. apply P9 and biosilk. divide your hair into small sections and w/ the round brush blow dry straight. it's going to take you some time if it's your first time blow drying it straight. work your way through your hair and when you're done you can apply a small dab of biosilk (this will work out the frizz). once you start doing this it'll loosen your curl and soon it'll become easier to work with....these products are great! you'll after a while you can leave your hair wet and just apply enough of both products and let air dry...or you can blow dry it but on low (if your keeping it curly) good luck :)

I would do most anything for that hair, and I would just find a good conditioner for the frizz . . . not all conditioners are the same, keep trying until you find the ONE !
I forgive you for causing me extreme jealousy.

You could straighten it and then put in in buns, ponytails, pigtails, french braids, or pull it over the top...
