Trinitarians repeatedly pretend that Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christian. Trinitarians use an artificial, trinity-specific definition of the term "Christian" which excludes anyone who does not believe that Jesus is God Himself, rather than the Son of God. Interestingly, pagans in the first century pretended that Christ's followers were Atheists(!) because the Christians had a somewhat different idea from the pagans about the nature of God.
Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe! Both secular dictionaries and disinterested theologians acknowledge that Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian religion.
The Trinitarian arguments are intended to insult and demean Jehovah's Witnesses, rather than to give a Scripturally accurate understanding of the term "Christian".
In fact, the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with preaching about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all three times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"
(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.
(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”
(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name
So why do anti-Witnesses try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications? Because anti-Witnesses recognize that it is the preaching work that makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded

Jehovah's Witness have their own version of the Bible called the New World Translation (NWT). Any theologian that is not JW will tell you that the NWT has been grossly misinterpreted to fit the preconceived beliefs of the JW. The main area of discrepany surrounds the divinity of Jesus Christ. Every text that hints at the deity of Christ has been carefully manipulated to state the opposite. So "worship" becomes "made obeiance to" and "God" becomes "a god".
JW's are not allowed to read the Bible for themselves to decide what is right or wrong. They follow the dictates of the Watchtower Society. Therefore, any quotes on YA's will be from this overseeing group. This limits the perspective of the individual JW, but keeps the tight control that the church is after.
Other texts in the Bible are taken out of context. So the prohibition against eating blood becomes the case for refusing blood transfusions even to save the life of a helpless child.
JW's are wonderful people. However they are not Christian in that they do not follow the teachings of Christ in regard to the deity of Christ. They have been mislead by the Watchtower Society. This is one of the defining characteristics of a cult, following an individual or a group of individuals blindly, ingnoring the dictates of conscience.

In case you didn't know, Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians. We base our beliefs on God's Word the Bible, not on traditions or customs based on false religion. For example, Jehovah's Witnesses do not share in holidays that are clearly pagan in origin. If you would do a little research, you would see as plain as day that Easter, Christmas and Easter have customs that predate Christianity. Why do Jehovah's Witnesses preach from door to door? They do because it is in compliance with Jesus' instructions to "go and make disciples of peoples of all the nations..., teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you." See Matt. 28:19, 20. Jehovah's Witnesses worship Jehovah, not some incomprehensible trinity. Ps. 83:18 says that Jehovah is the Most High. Jesus is not God, or even God the Son, but the SON of the Most High. See Luke 1:32. Do most churches accept these teachings? No.
Jehovah's Witnesses do not follow any man or groups of men blindly. We are encouraged to search the Scriptures every day and to make what we learn a way of life.

The major differences would be a belief in the concept of a Trinity despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary; and the identification of Jesus as "the son of God" but not "God the Son", again despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Jehovah's Witnesses cannot argue their points successfully in any seminary since their interpretations of the original text is at drastic variance with commonly accepted translations of the scriptures.

Well Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians, but we don't celebrate Holidays, we don't belive in the trinity, we also don't believe that you go to heaven or hell when you die. We believe that at Armaggedon/ "the end of this system of things" the wicked will be destroyed and everyone will have a chance to learn the truth about God and his son. And gradually the earth will be restored to a paradise like He originally intended. You should get in touch with the Jehovah's witnesses in your area. They will be happy to answer any questions that you have, no strings attached.

First of all Jehovah Witnesses are christians, meaning they believe in Christ, secondly, the main difference that I know of is that Jesus is believed to be a creation of God and not God himself. Also they believe that when everyone is resurrected they will live in a Paradise Earth. I'm actually more inclined to believe this ideal due to the fact that the bible mentions countless times that the earth will never be destroyed.

There are so many it would take a book to tell all of them, I just attended a funeral (Jehovah's Witness style) and the family was not allowed to speak any words of remembrance or anything. Everything was geared towards what they believe; one being only so many people are going to heaven. Christians believe that with accepting Jesus as your savior and repentance that all can go to heaven.

We don't believe in a trinity.
We don't believe in an immortal soul.
We don't have paid ministers.
We do worship Jehovah God.
We do have faith in Jesus being the only begotten Son of God.
We believe that thru the heavenly Kingdom Jehovah is going to restore the earth to a paradise.
We use only the bible and not philosophy to establish true worship.
Those are just a few of the many differences.

One is True and the others are False
One thing Jesus will do when he returns, is get rid of "false religion" along with anyone practicing it.
What is false religion?
Why does religion seem to be at the root of so many problems?
The fault lies, not with all religion, but with “false” religion.
False Religion...MEDDLES IN WAR AND POLITICS: How many religions can you think of whose members engage in war?
False Religion...SPREADS FALSE DOCTRINE: Most religions teach that the soul of spirit is some invisible part of a human that survives the death of the physical body. However, the Bible teaches a different doctrine. “The soul that is sinning, it itself will die.” Ezekiel 18:4 Jesus taught that the dead will be resurrected, an unnecessary action if humans had an immortal soul. Does your religion teach that the soul does not die?
False Religion...TOLERATES IMMORAL SEX: Church groups ordain gay and lesbian members of the clergy. What, though, does the Bible teach? It plainly states: “Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men.” 1 Cor. 6:9,10 Do you know of religions that condone immoral sex?
God will call false religion to account for all the despicable acts she has committed in his name.
What must you do if you do not want to share the fate of false religion? "Get out of her, my people," Rev. 18:4, Now is the time to flee from false religion! But to where can you flee? Not into atheism, since its future is also bleak. The only haven is within true religion
How to identify true religion.
True Religion...PRACTICES LOVE: True worshippers are “no part of the world,” are not divided by race or culture, and display “love among themselves.” Rather than killing one another, they are willing to die for one another.
True Religion...TRUSTS GOD'S WORD: Instead of teaching “tradition” and “commands of men as doctrines,” true religion bases its doctrine on God's Word, the Bible
True Religion...STRENGTHENS FAMILIES AND UPHOLDS HIGH MORAL STANDARDS: True religion trains husbands to “love their wives as their own bodies,” helps wives to develop “deep respect for their husbands,” and teaches children to “be obedient to their parents.”
