It sounds as if she is still a puppy. If you can move anything in the back yard that she is chewing and lock it in your shed then that might help. I would also make sure she has enough toys to play with it sounds like she is bored. If you spend enough time playing with her she should forget about her munching in the garden. And if you keep her outdoors then a) you're a meanie and b) keep her indoors.

The invisible fence isn't cruel (I don't think) and it's been effective for every dog I've owned (including a Pit) You know you're dog better than anyone. If you do decide to got with the invisible fence be sure to get the one that has the three zones. when they get near the "fence" they'll hear a high pitched sound, if they go past it there will be a slight shock, and if they ignore that then they'll have the bigger one that's a constant. HOWEVER, when you put the fence in you have to walk the dog around the yard and walk him through the fence before you just let him run free. I learned that when you just let them out and think they'll learn on their own it doesn't work so well lol. when they get the shock they don't know what to do and just make a mad dash in any direction to get away from it. We only opted for the fence bc a run is kind of a tease there's not a whole lot of room to play and have the freedom they should have in their own yard.

We have two boxers and they used to tear everything up! So we experimented a little bit and decided that if you get toys then alternate them, they think they are always getting something new to play with. Boxers get very bored and need a lot of attention because they are people lovers and they feel the need to be involved. Also if you walk them daily or take them to run and let their energy out they really might not do that so much! Believe me it works!
