I am agnostic not Christian, but it has been my experience that a lot of Christians like science. Not all Christians are irrational. Most see the errors in there religious dogma; example the killing of people for working on a Sunday as depicted in the Bible. This is an absurd idea that most Christians find distasteful, so they have chosen to chalk this up to an error in their religious text. There are many things that they find in error, Most of the Christians that I know don't eat bugs just because the Bible says that it is OK to eat them. Hell if Christianity had fewer errors in it and more science I would be a Christian.

Wouldn't it be a contradiction for a Christian to not believe in the laws made by their Creator? I am a Christian and fully support science....though how much faith should we have in the science of men? That is the question.

Christians don't like science???? Since when?
I'm a Christian. I majored in Chemistry in Undergrad. I have a Graduate degree in Biology. I'm a physician. I embrace and use science daily.
Science illustrates Gods creation. Why would Christians dislike it?

Personally I love science. What I don't like is 16th century style bigotry, which forbids anyone, any teacher, from having a different opinion from the prevailing theories of the day. (If you dare to differfrom the prevailing views, you are considered to be stupid, bigoted, malicious, or all of the above). So it isn't science I hate.

nothing really. Science has came a long way, discovered new things, and opened new doors. It's helped fight disease, and improved the world in general a hundred fold. So I don't se any reason why Christan's wouldn't like science.

The fact that it so frequently contradicts with the literalist interpretation of the Bible.
Incidentally, I appreciate diplomacy as much as anybody, but let's get real: science IS the irreconcliable enemy of religion.
Science investigates the laws of nature with the idea of making use of them.
Religion, on the contrary, seeks to ignore the laws of nature, or to escape them by appeal to a postulated power which is assumed to have laid them down. The religious man is, as such, incapable of understanding what the laws of nature really are. (They are generalizations from the order of observed fact.)

I like science. In high school I got 90 +. In college, 1.0. What I don't like about science, among others:
a. The destruction of the environment coz scientists invented pollutants,
b. Medicines that hurt us instead of cure us (e.g blood transfusion)
c. teachings that makes us look like idiots. e.g evolution.
d. weapons ( invented by scientists) that kill and maim humans,
e. garbage in the internet.
I could go on if you want....

Christians like science just fine. Does that bother you? Somehow I think it does. Or is it just the fact that not everyone agrees with your interpretation of theories? (:P) Come on, let's play nice.
Hoping the best for you...
