How thorough are they in checking for your employment and salary? Do they require you to fax your paycheck stubs or anything else?

And can you use the check to buy from a new car dealership instead of eBay?

I would imagine that they're much the same as any major bank in underwriting the loan.

You can use the money at any dealership, according to the website.

FYI, that's run by HSBC. The Hang-Saeng Bank of China, a state-owned financial institution in China. They don't advertise that fact in this country, but I thought you'd like to be fully informed.

Correction - HSBC stands for:

"The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, which was established in 1865 to finance the growing trade between China and Europe. "

Still a Chinese Bank - founded with help from the British. :-)
