A very childish statement. In my oppion boys really don't become men until they are ready to throw out the toys and have and support families. Women and girls well curling irons last a very long time so price....I don't understand.

the difference between men and boys... that might be a bit dated since todays boys all want Xboxes and Sony DSes and all those electronic gadgets and so do a lot of men. women and girls... do their hairdos cost more as they get older? or is this supposed to be deeper, stating that men never grow up, they're always going to be playing with toys and as women get older, they're just interested in spending more money?

But what about females like myself?
I've never had my hair professionally done once in my life, I've never worn makeup outside of Halloween, and I don't own any designer clothing, etc.
Additionally, I entertain myself with many male-ish 'toys', such as firearms and knives.
The statement is probably true for the stereotypical, 'average' group, but not for everyone.
It's kind of humorous though.
